Hope none of us end up dealing with that kind of thing tonight.

I know it.

More likely we'll get a good windstorm tonight and I'll spend an hour tomorrow picking up branches debris around the yard.  We have a lot of trees.

I can only hope that some of the leaves get blown off my lawn....

I was just out at the store and there is no wind here. The calm before the storm maybe...

Hope it stay calm for you there.

That wind can be nasty - I lost power for 5 days here a few years ago.

Not so much fun...

Yeah, and we had a 5 month old too.

The worst part was just not knowing when it would come on again.

Well that and the fact that people just down the street had power right after the storm and we had to wait all those extra days.

Man, that's crazy! And with a 5mo. old!! We lose power all the time. Would love to have one of those generator thingies one day.

Yup, it sucks to lose all the stuff in your fridge.

I've threatened to buy a portable generator for some time now.  At least keep the stuff in the fridge from going bad.

The first time you needed it you would be glad you bought it!! Ours usually goes out in the summer when it outrageously hot. I'd want to hook up the a/c, the fridge, the hot water heater, the 'puter, etc...lol.

I bought an 5500W generator right after Isabel blew through and messed stuff up.  We were without power for 7-8 days after Isabel.   >:(
