At the hotel with the LIKE200i this morning
« on: August 18, 2021, 07:03:59 PM »
Mills Park Hotel....
I'd go into Ellie's dining room for a nice coffee on their great porch....but she doesn't open until 8:00AM. Heck, many mornings I'm on my way home after coffee at that hour. Dino is pouring fresh strong coffee at 6:45AM)

And, I don't post a photo without a scooter in it, but I saw this shot down the street this morning while having my coffee....

@Stig, nice pix.
When I saw this artistically painted garbage can and hydrant at the curb, came in my mind, people here got fined for painting their front door hydrant.
Reasoning: Hydrant cannot be disdinguished easily by fireman.....
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus

Yellow is a common color for a fire hydrant here. If you live in a HOA (home owners association ) they can dictate what colors you can use on your house. They also have to approve about anything else you do to your home.

My BIL and sister live in a HOA. Before they bought they looked into the covenants to put up a Ham Radio antenna and there were none. When BIL put up a antenna holy hell broke loose.  No individuality allowed everyone must conform.
In parts 200S and Grand Vista and my motorcycles 2 CS BMW'S and one GS BMW.

Sold-32 Kymco scooters of various sizes this summer.

Yellow is standard color for the hydrants....our hydrant has a greet hat on it!...painted by the city.
As for the coffee village trash cans....They're not painted. (only Joe's Toyota station wagons are painted :), 5 of them last count)
These trash barrels are heavy concrete outers, with plastic lift-outs inside. Many of these were adopted by local artisans (pottery shops, teens, etc.) and have been decorated with kiln fired shapes of all kinds. Each has a theme, or animal, etc.

These ceramic creations are applied to benches as well.....

Trees (and light poles) as well,  are not safe from a gang of roving terrorists armed with knitting needles  :)

Holy Moly...!  "How can anyone allow such knitting on public trees?", people here would ask..
Small minds.
Like this enamelled trashcans, show some artistic thinking.

..but anyway it's beautiful. At least.for me.
Stig , be happy to live in such an environment, where people are a little bit open minded.
