Anyone riding with an airbag?

Piaggio sells a backpack airbag --- price ranges from 300 Euros (used) to 560 Euros.
You can purchase a recharge kit as well.

no..but I think those are a great idea. lots of airbag vests and jackets available, now. They are expensive at $600- $1000 or more...but a lot cheaper than a hospital visit.

No, but it's something I'd consider.  During my sportsbike riding days I always wore a Back Protector as part of my ATGATT regime!

That's great. A lot slimmer than other air bags I've seen.
But with the way things usually go for me if I had get-off and land on my face and front and that looks like it would only press my face into the pavement.
I always ride ATGATT even if only going to the store a mile away. My gear jacket and riding overpant have CE armor including the back protector.

I ride with 9 of these D30 pads:, hips, knees, shoulders, elbows and back.

Stig - I’ll see your 9 and raise you 3 more!…2 for the thighs and 1 for the tailbone (Bohn armored pants underlayer)

If I add in my A Stars leather jacket there are 2 additional chest protectors…for a total of…I don’t know, but it’s a lot!  :)

Protective gear is good.

Good point for Piaggio, want to rush into security market too. Would look strange here in Italy where 90% of scooteristi ride during summer in T-shirt, shorts and sandals.
IMHO more people die in western countries from obesity and smoking than from scooter acsdents.
If I want some airbags around me, I take my VOLVO where I have around nine of them only in the front and seating area.
Happy and safe scootering, Ruffus
