Bye Bye Pirelli Angels.
« on: September 10, 2021, 07:18:57 PM »
I had Pirelli Angels on My Like 150i but they are both gone now.  Both tires handled very well but I thought they rode a bit rough.  The rear was worn out in 4600 miles and I replaced it with a City Grip II.  The front was toast after about 6500 miles and I replaced it yesterday with a Michelin Power Pure.  I would have liked to put a City Grip on but they don't sell the correct size here in the USA.  The combination feels good but I'll have to wait to see how well the Michelins hold up.  They are quite a bit more expensive than the Pirellis were.

Keep in mind I'm a very aggressive rider.  I even rode my scooter on a couple of racetracks.  Most riders will get better mileage out of their tires.

On a positive note, I have pretty consistently been getting around 90 MPG the last several months.

I always liked Power Pure---they wear round---had them on Burman 400 and on two new Silverwings---returning from

Alaska Power Pure on Burgman lasted 11,000 miles as I recall....had to get home...dealer seldom have scooter tires in stock.

On my 200i Like I swapped put the front City Grip for another at about 14,000 miles. Still with tread but wasn't expensive and an rasy removal.
The rear was more worn and was removed around 12,000, nut still with tread.
You and I are polar opposites in riding style....plus it's a lot cooler at night😊, easier on the compound.
Still trying out the Angels. ...but will recommend the C Grips without reservation!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
