Our preoccupation with MPG
« on: October 17, 2021, 10:37:54 PM »
I picked up my new Piaggio Liberty in 2017.
It has only made two visits to a gas station.
7,878 miles.
I'll do the math on that after supper....

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

back in '73/'74 time frame (during the "gas crisis) when we could only fill up every other day, dependent in license plate numbering, I drove a VW Beetle, and got in the high 20s but only had a 10½ gal. tank. One day at work, a client came in with a brand new Lincoln. I asked him why he bought such a gas guzzler, he replied, "It's got a 45 gallon tank and I have longer range than your Bug"
