Quote on a 450

I got a quote of out the door $9,500 for a 2021 450, not the LE, but standard version with dump bed. Am I taking a major bath on that, or during these times is that reasonable? Appreciate the advice.

Nothing is reasonable right now, appears that you are paying list price plus tax, title, dealer prep, and delivery charges from what I can figure. Neighbor bought a couple side by sides about six months back, oaid list price, no discounts!!  Had to order, no machines in stock...had to allow his machine to set on dealers floor for one full week or pay an extra immediate delivery fee of 500 bucks!  It was a take it or leave it, no negotiations!!  Some deakers were taking bids when a new machine came in...it has been a sellors market.  Under the current climate, I dont think your getting ripped off, but not getting a deal either.  Times are what they are...how bad do you want the machine or how long are you willing to wait for things to settle down???

In 2019, I paid $7,300 for a "leftover" 2018. It was $8,000 OTD.

Given current market conditions, an extra $1,500 isn't crazy high but typically you can get one of these for much less. It's the exact same machine.

in 2015, I paid $5000 for a 2015 when list was 7999, local multi brand dealer couldn't get rid of Kymcos cause they were "chinese" and people would rather pay $9500 for a honda fwiw, my local dealer now only orders  scooters and smaller atvs from Kymco cause he can sell them quickly.  the 2015 450i that I bought was the last Kymco utv he ever ordered

Prices have been all over the place depending on how well they are recieved in a particular area. They started at 7995.00. And then went all over the place. My local dealer (100 miles away) sold a number of Kymco machines but was the only one within 300 plus miles. Other mfgrs like Polaris screwed there dealers over if they offered any Kymco machines other than scooters.  Kymco failed to push support to there dealers so many went by the wayside. When I bought mine,I did not get a "good" deal but it was the machine I wanted and the dealer backed up their products. Kymco machines have to be put together by the dealer so the dealer prep charges are higher than other mfgrs. Due to higher quantities the shipping for other mfgrs machines is much less. No one else makes a machine in that size is the reason I bought mine. Their accessories are not cheap either, my factory roof was 375.00, not cheap for a pkastic roof, but I like the looks of it. It all boils down to what you want and what your willing to pay for it !!!  I can say I have no regrets in my purchase, glad I did not go for a bigger machine. My friends have all kinds of different machines from different mfgrs.  One thing they all have in common is repairs and lots of them !!  They all comment on how well my machine has been repair free, when I have been going the same places they go.  The most repairs have come from the Polaris machines. I ended up with the machine I wanted, with no regrets...guess I got what I payed for.......
