Christmas day ride.
« on: December 26, 2021, 04:03:58 AM »
It was nearly 70 degrees today and all I needed was an excuse to go for a ride.  I decided to get the ADV scooter tag so i rode about 10 miles to grab it.  The tag was Christmas Tree.  Well I got more than one.

In keeping with the Christmas theme I made the new tag a snowman.

I was watching a YouTube Christmas time walking tour in Paris the other day and the fellow walked by 2 Kymco like 150s, well actually they were probably 125's.....
That seems to be the customary size in Europe.
Nice to see Kymcos in Paris.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Yes, 125ccm you ride in most of EU with your "car B" license, (after some additional training and a juicy payment) for more, i.g. a 150ccm, a motorcycle license is required, with which you can ride any bigger/ stronger motorcycle.

Still a separate bike licence herein the UK Ruffus. They did away with the ability to ride up to 50cc on a car licence back in the 70’s I think.

@Neil, didn't know that about UK. Here for vehicles under 50 ccm you just need a training class (for a good fee of course), that's why a lot of people with their license taken for DWI drive/ ride this minicars and drinking happily further on.

Nope. Any drink/drug drive ban here applies across ALL classes of licence. It’s the bus, bicycle or a cab then.

Mind you, I did once know someone out in the sticks who rode his horse to the pub…
