Hey everybody,

sorry if this is a completely noob question but my dad just bought the scooter as in title, twenty minutes in, the check engine light started flashing- 4 blinks, 5 second break, repeat.

From my research, this could be a warning he's reaching top speed ? (45km/h), but I wanted to make sure it may not be something else.

Hope someone more knowledgeable may be kind enough to shed some light

EDIT: as per motorroller.de the 4x flash code indicates a defective, not connected, or contact problem with lambda probe OR error can also occur if the throttle grip continues to be fully opened while driving after reaching maximum speed.

Dealer problem. Take it back. Should have been caught on pre-delivery inspection (PDI). Better check the oil, too.
