NSR: Nice Jeep!
« on: May 19, 2022, 06:57:01 PM »

Daughter and I were having lunch in Yellow Springs today, when she looked up and said a nice Jeep just pulled in.
I couldn't see it around the corner from my chair.
When the owner came out from the shop behind us with his lunch in hand my daughter asked, "Excuse me, What kind of Jeep is that - I've never seen one before."
He chuckled, "Umm, that's a G Wagon Mercedes."
"Oh. Thank you - pretty color."
He nodded.
I told my daughter, "You were talking to Dave Chappelle."

I stopped for a snap on our way up the street to her favorite dress shop.

Your daughter is a gem! "Nice Jeep" is a fitting description for the Mercedes model, having a live rear axle assuming it is like the first one I saw years ago. Your sweet girl put that thing in exactly the right place!

I asked her what kind of a grill ornament it had...she made a strange thing with her fingers and said it looked like something from a safari movie.
So I'm thinking "Land Rover"?....she said no, pretty sure it's a Jeep, it has a lit circle around the headlights...like her girlfriend's Jeep.
Anyway, Chappelle just chuckled and seemed amused,  not peeved, - he's not "on guard" in this village....plus his daughter probably doesn't know much about cars either.

Guy in our village has a Mercedes G Wagon in black. Class act, if only I could afford one 😂.  I’ll stick with the wife’s Landy.
