Anyone have Heated Grips?
« on: January 08, 2011, 12:02:53 AM »
Searched back thru this board and can't find any record of this question.
Received a set of Heated Grips as a gift.   Does anyone recommend these
for an Xciting 250 or Grandvista?

I don't know if there are any posts about them on the Xciting or GrandVista, Urbestfriend, but here is a post about them on another scoot with some pics.

I have them on both scoots, I have even posted pictures of how I have mounted them.
Pls. look up a bit more on the site, using my name and terms like Oxford, heated grips, heated handgrips etc.

I have Daytona Hot Grips on my XC250 and its real battery killer. But I used to turn them up on a highspeeds, they will get really warm, cable goes from front light switch which I have to turn on as I am riding because of law in my country. It has its on transmitter when tyou can turn them off, on - start position and on - heat. on start position they are warming up and on the third position they stay on the constant temp. If you will trying to connect them, try to use own cable, do not connect them as I have. Its really annoying when I forget to turn them off and they are draining battery all the way through city lights crossroads etc. I have permanently turned battery notification on panel on 3 days after recharging. Will do something with them in a month, if you want I can post what I ve done after it will be finished.

Urbestfriend appreciates your comments.  I actually called Scooterworks
San Diego and was able to return them.  I used the credit towards the
XC 20 Chrome Rail Kit they are advertising under Clearance.  They came
on Monday just before the storm.  They are made in Germany and so
much better than you can tell from any picture.  These are formed,
welded and chromed tubes that set off the bike by an inch or two.
Very Harley Looking.   Have put the rear one partially on,  but it's
too cold in the Garage.
