Question about fiel line size
« on: July 07, 2022, 03:48:20 AM »
Hello everyone,

I noticed today that my stock Oem fuel line is starting to dryrot and crack, Im guessing due to the heat of the engine. Im looking for some replacement line but cannot seem to find the correct size, Some websites say 5MM line, others say 6mm line. I only need fuel line seeing is that I have extra fuel filters. I was looking at something like this on amazon but am questioning if it would be the correct size.

@aschrauth, pic is OEM from a 150 GD.
I changed once all my fuel line to silicone, and after a while they started to quell.
My advise would be to take from carshop a few meters of their  5mm stuff. Costs nearly to nothing and is quality. There you see 6mm at the caliper, but 5 mm fit tight and aren't leaking.
If you order silicone lines, you have to know the company. Otherwise you do twice.

I asked for fuel line at the parts counter of my motorcycle dealer. I measured the interior diameter of the fuel line and asked for that...can't remember what it was, now, but they have bulk rolls and sell it by the foot. the exterior diameter of the new line was different, but the interior diameter is what matters.

Automotive fuel lines are always measured and sold by inner diameter.
