The Like 150I has a shutter that can be (accidentally?) tripped to cover the key slot.
The (maybe) only way to get this shutter open is by using the knobby thing on the OEM key.
Purchased new, you get two keys and a tag listing the key number.

That device is widespread now and not just on Kymcos! My Honda PCX 125 had it too.
Regards & ride safe,

As did my Burgman 650. Many Burgman owners disabled the magnetic latch mechanics in that shutter so it could be opened and shut without the key magnetic knobby bit.

I bought spare keys for my 400 Burgman from ebay.
It was a neat trick aligning the magnets properly on the new (Chinese of course) keys so one could open the shutter.
But a real test of patience to instruct others on the procedure🙃

Even if you get a key blank off fleabay or elsewhere, yiu will still need a locksmith to grind the key blank.  Look around, in my area all the stores have a key machine now that is a computor driven thing that cant make squat...last time I tried to get a simple key made, the computor doesnt recognize that key is all I get told. Then the clerk oroceeds to tell me they can make over a hundred different types of keys..my locksmith carries 1100 different keys and that is only a dent in the number if different keys.  All the stores  seem to be going to these do nothing key machines, so beware, just having the key blank wont help unless you have a source to actually grind you a key....unfortunately these are becomming very scarce !!!!!!
