Seat lock stuck

key turns but seat wont open...stuck on right hand side - have tried everything....

Don't have the 500, have the 300.
Can you access the lock cable from the key switch? On the 300 you can see the cable from under the front and give it a pull.

I had the same problem on my DT300; it had two seat locks, which is overkill, so I removed the bracket on the seat pan for the lock that didn't trigger the light switch.

I attached zip ties to the latches which hang down under the plastic, which I can pull to release the latches.

There were 2 latches under my seat. Totally unneeded. I took one off.
