how to mod your side stand !

Agility side stand retracts when it`s lifted off the ground

How many of you have problems with that ? And acutally dropped the scooter.
I did, a friend touched the scooter slightly and the side stand retrected! Bend the rear brake lever and a very little scrach on the side panel

So i did something, now when i put the side stand an push the scooter , sit on it it`s wery stable
It`s a 10 min job

Take off the screw that holds the side stand and cut it like in the image.
This will let the side stand to move more and "beat" the spring force pulling it back because of the angle. (hope you understand my sh**ty expl)

Now you don`t need to worry anymore because of the terian or curious friends near the scooter.
Just don`t forget tu pull it up by leg when you leave.

I love it now!

..i took my kickstand off because it would scrape the road on left hand turns...very annoying...


..what happens if you forget to pull it up..

i wish mine would retract on its own i have to kick it back

My Kymco Super 8 sidestand is like semi up and down...

If its on sidestand and i lift the scooter to go the sidestand only goes up maby half way.

I would not recoment this mod because its for you safety and for those that you might borrow you bike to.
If it dossent come up and you forgot its down maby you drive strain forward and the make a left turn... well this might make your scooter jump and the backwheel loose contact with the ground and you will then kiss the ground and who knows...

Some scooters like the baotian i think have a switchs just for this porpuse and the engine cant start with the sidestand down.

i don`t know about you but i kick it down and lift it up so easy i can stop and start at trafficlights without touching the ground with my feet
i see many benefits if you remind to rise it before ride..
stady on bumpy terain
i kick it down and drop the scoot on it.. don`t have to worry that it might slip and fall

it`s your choice..and don`t curse me if you fall

PS : i don`t like to borrowing it. only my dad can use it

Please? I know it’s years later, I have this problem, hate how the stand immediately retracts - don’t like it at all
