I gotta say (probably again) I love that top case you have with the lights. I am a tad bit jealous but I'll deny it if asked. haha
I ride in the winter here in the NM and yes it gets cold and snowy at times but it's still a lot of fun. Anyone have heated gloves? I rode this morning with a windchill of 9-13 degrees and my hands didn't like it too much. I was layered up fine on the rest but my hands need help. Thank goodness I have a windscreen otherwise it would have been much colder. Also, what about heated anything else for the cold rides?
I realize in FL you wouldn't probably use the heat but maybe someone out east does?

Anything much below 55 I use battery powered heated gloves to ride through Ohio winters. Batteries in the cuffs.
Rain overjacket with armored leather and thermal layers beneath.

What brand do you use? I'm not sure if I want to go battery or 12v to the main battery. How's the battery life?

I do not hook any draw to my 12V scooter battery. I ride on very cold days - well away from my home. and I want a good strong battery when I'm ready to restart my scooter and head home.
I use 7.4V glove liners from the Warming Store. They work good under a pair of leather gloves. Rechargeable batteries are in the glove cuff.

I also use Highway 21 heated leather gloves - rechargeable batteries are in the cuff.

I've never lost heat from either when out for 3>4 hours. I use middle temp settings on both. Maybe coming home i might turn them up to highest setting.

One concern not solved is riding with them on in heavy cold rains! - so far they haven't quit on me....or become damaged. Silicone spray on the leather gives up in about 30 mins in a heavy rain.
I'm trying some purpose made glove over-liners for the rain - but they are so crude and poor fitting I'd rather put a Wonder bread bag on.

regarding the lighted case with LED brake and running lights visible along the sides as well.....it is a Bestem 929 case. HTF these days. About $129 a decade ago. comes with LED lights installed and universal rack and hardware to mount on the rear of a 1st gen LIKE.
I bought from factory - but no longer sold . sometimes I see one on ebay.

I've seen some gloves from the warming store and they look pretty good. Also, good point on the direct battery hook up I hadn't thought of the possible drain on it. I also noticed the 7.4v gloves seem to be the best outside of a direct hook up. The spray on silicon is also something I didn't consider but I like the idea. I've not really looked at the Highway 21 gloves yet but have seen them on the internet. It's good to know they are a good option.

I hadn't seen any outside covers for the gloves and I can see how they wouldn't work too well so the spray is probably the best solution at the moment for the rain protection. I considered looking for heated leather but that's where the rain part comes in and I hesitate getting them. I find it a little difficult to find actual motorcycle gloves vs ski or snow gloves.

Thanks info on the top box this time I'll make a note of that as I'm really liking the idea of the lights for viability.

Appreciate the advice/tips Stig!
