I recently became the proud new owner of an AK550. Someone's decision that it was too much bike was my opportunity.
Because it has less than 1000 miles on it, my inclination was to ride it and see what it needs before I start to modify it. That was until I saw this-

It's the JCosta Pro variator. It showed up at my house in less than a week, and everything fit where it was supposed to. But the weather has not cooperated, so I have been able to put a total of maybe 20 minutes on it.
The biggest difference I noticed, in my short jaunts up and down the block
is that the throttle response is even smoother, especially accelerating up from a rolling stop. Even taking off is smoother. I can't wait to see if it really does increase the top speed, but that's not a winter sport.
In hindsight, I wonder if I should have gotten the racing version instead.
