KYMCO needs more imagination
« on: October 29, 2022, 09:07:23 PM »
There are all kinds of things you can do with the colors of panels.
Personally, I prefer the softer, more flowing shapes of the Piaggio scooters - but it's their use of color that impresses me as well.
Paint - add some colors - mix 'em up KYMCO!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

https://kymco.com.au/agility-16-300i/   How I feel about Kymco, I would probably choose the Agility 300 in blue over the Piaggio BV.  Also available in smaller engines.  BUT not sold in the USA.

23.3 SAE HP equivalent to 17.5 kw engine..not bad.. 3 year warranty...that's good! No, that's bad since most dealers in the US have to be forced to honor the warranty on anything....not sold in US...that's bad...NO! That's good! We have very few Kymco dealers left and an importer that is questionable.

The way inflation is going, very few of us will be able to feed ourselves soon...and that's bad.

If I win the lottery, I may go for a Vespa GTS/GTV, as I don't want to go heavier than my Downtown. The Vespas are available and have OK dealer support. But for a new one it is $10,000 with fee's and tax and licensing.

Eh Kymco does have a wonderful blue on the current People 150.
I'd have bought one if my current SYM hadn't popped up when it did.  What'd Id really like to see from them is the People 300, in a variety of colors of course.
Those sold out here fast, and are made of unobtanium on the used market.  The lack of those is making me eye up the current BV400 instead but I'd prefer a flat floorboard.

I do so agree Stig.  The colours available (one!) when I bought mine reminded me of good old Henry Ford’s limited palette.

Have never really liked it, but fortunately in all other respects, it’s a great scooter.
Regards & ride safe,
Neil

couldn't agree more. like the piaggio brand but didn't have a dealer close until now. my like 200i and honda super cub 125 will probably go for a long time now but if I were looking, I'd visit our new vespa piaggio dealer. good reviews on them too.

Bit of a trek from the PNW I fear.  I'd honestly consider a fly and ride if it were a bit earlier in the year.
Arrange for a place to stay, get someone to do the fluids & swap the tires, bring some tools, DP sliders and a fresh belt and head back with a couple stops to say hi to nieces and others on the way.
It'd be great!

I just saw one on facebook marketplace near Milwaukee, WI. 2012 with 5200 miles for $2750 USD. Very rare to see these! The seller must also know this. Added a link, hope it works..
