The scoot died on me while going to work the other day. Ran fine, no hiccups or anything like that, and a few km before going to work it started bogging down and shut off. Couldn't start it, a colleague passing by picked me up.
Came back to the scoot after work, it started and got me home without a problem.

The next day same thing happened after about 10km. Parked it, let it sit for about 10 minutes. it started and got me home without a problem.

So after that I checked the intake for air leaks - none.
 - changed the vacuum tubes
 -  did a valve check (it was OK)
 -  took the carburetor out, looks ok inside, cleaned it out using carb cleaner, jets clean, diaphragm is ok, main jet needle is in place.
 -  changed the fuel line from vacuum fuel valve to carb.
 -  disconnected fuel hose from vacuum fuel valve and put a piece of fuel line on the vaccum line, sucked on it, fuel flow into a plastic container was good.

Put everything back together, went for a ride, it shut down in 5km.
Let it sit, again, for 10 minutes, it stared up, and if I keep it under 65-70km its OK  ???
Short speeds above that speed is OK, but not for long.
Acceleration is slugish compared to before this started.

I keep thinking its a fuel problem, but what to do?

Fuel filter looks clean and no visible leaks anywhere in the fuel delivery system.

Float needle problem?  The float looks and operates OK, float needle goes up and down with float.

Vacuum fuel valve for some reason not keeping up when the scoot needs more fuel?

how old and how many KM on your scooter?  It seems you've ruled out fueling problems..maybe CDI or something else electrical?

The answer may be in why it needs to sit for 10 minutes before it will start again...

I vote for vacuum vent valve being stuck shut. To rule in or out just pop the gas cap next time it happens. That's it if it starts fairly quickly. If it doesn't then either the fuel valve or CDI. Scooterfan in South Africa has several posts about dying CDI that have similar symptoms.

Replaced the CDI 2 years ago with a second hand one. Getting spark when cranking.

I had a faulty CDI, but the symptoms were different then what is happening now.

It keeps going at lower speeds, give it more revs and it starts acting up.

I have no experience with your Agility model, or any scooter with AC CDI’s - but if your scoot has a DC CDI, I am almost prepared to bet my front teeth that the CDI on your Agility is faulty.

My Agility (different model, with DC CDI) is currently on it’s 3rd CDI at almost 30 000kms. During the previous CDI failures on my Agility, the symtoms have been exactly like the symtoms on your scooter.
Life is a journey. Just spend some time, and enjoy the trip.

Jeeves your issue sounds like what I had wrong had  with my scooter, turns out it  for me the fix was the CDI. It failed with less than 2000km. Upgraded to a performance unit and have replaced voltage regulator and still going strong.

Sorry, I completely forgot that I never closed this thread.

The problem was the fuel pump. Bought a generic GY6 pump and haven't had the issues since.
The GY6 pump inlet and outlet are on a different place compared to the original, but it can fit.
