2022 Lance Havana 200i Fuel Pump
« on: August 28, 2023, 03:03:54 PM »
I have a Lance Havana 200i and have put about 2000 miles on it this year. It needs a fuel pump. Any aftermarket pumps that work or do I have to go with OEM thats 300 dollars.

Is the pump in the tank?
Does it look anything like the pumps seen here.....

These pumps are available on eBay for a lot less$.
My eBay pump has been working fine for years.

Should I assume that you are certain that your fuel pump has failed?

If know that your pump has failed - I'm pretty sure you can find a replacement from one of the trusted (superb feedback rating) sellers on eBay.

If you have the old assembly in hand you can measure the pump cylinder, study the wiring and hose, etc.

You simply do some investigative work on these ebay pumps - find one that is same or very close to the size of your old pump (that metal cylinder is your pump - in the nylon/plastic carrier and with the wires and hose and a filter attached on the bottom)
You remove the assembly - open it up to remove the hose and the wiring and the old pump -  re-attach the wires and the hoses and reinstall the new pump in the carrier.

The brand by this seller below has been used by a couple of us for our Kymcos. The price is more these days - but it has been a few years since we purchased.
