NSR: Labor Day outing..pix

Up in New York, after the visiting the Falls.
We watched a teen couple run and dive headlong into Lake Ontario off this pad while we were stopped at a little scenic park. (clean rest/room! and grass for the pup!...)

Not germane, but - later we were stopped in the little river-side town at Youngstown Harbor, overlooking the Niagara river. We parked in front of the downtown shops. After checking the park and a couple of shops I asked a local lady if there were any public restrooms in town? she said , "no, come to think of it there aren't". I replied ironically- "makes this a real destination village!" But the burg did lay claim to the filthiest gas station I'd seen outside of Saigon!

The Niagara before it joins Lake Ontario. Ft George over there on the Canadian side. Ft Nigara (US side) was just up the river...

Wife found this rental, reasonable at 150 ft from Lake Ontario, and 49 miles from the Falls. Those in Wyoming were even less dear - but I said no. Wife gets nervous if she's without a washer and drier for 24 hrs.....so, it was a bit more than I thought we needed for just a couple of days, as it slept 11~!!, with 2 patio buildings and a fire put. We slept in the East Wing.

We're miles from electric lights (gas stations)- but there was a very good restaurant across the street for take-out every night. (The waitresses drove to Cincinnati to see Taylor Swift - they teared-up telling my daughter about it)

anyway....saw a bit of the Erie canal (bridge raising metal road section straight up for a passing boat) and these folks a few times. Why were the women always mowing the yards?

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
