Stroker kit on ZX?
« on: August 29, 2023, 09:53:07 AM »
Hello Kymco Forum.
I have a nice Kymco Fever ZX50 I (SA10AL)
I also have another Kymco Super Fever ZX50 II (SC10A)

I'm looking to buy a 130cc stroker kit to put on one of them because I heard somewhere that they would fit if I machined and bored the engine, but is it actually true? And if so, do I put it on the Fever I or the Fever II?
My Fever I is from 1995 and my Fever II is from 2006
Any answer is appreciated  ;D

TBH, I've never heard of a 130cc stroker kit that would fit inside a 50cc crankcase!  If such a thing exists, tell us more!

Yeah if you go on scootertuning.ca then there is a 130cc stroker kit, but I feel like the engine would be too miserable to hold a 130cc kit, and not break

That stroker kit is for a 110cc Honda Dio, not for a 50cc Kymco.  Also the kit includes a big bore cylinder, and the crankcase has to be re-machined to accept the bigger parts. Don't forget that the final gears would also need to be changed to get the extra speed.  Otherwise you'll end up with a 130cc scooter that only does 30mph! Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier just to buy a 125cc scoot in the first place?
