Depends on to whom you listen.

Seriously, you may get a thousand different upinions even on here, the most reasonable, well behaved forum of all forums!

It was determined long ago (2004) that Kymco instructions were confusing but the result was most all models work just fine on USA 87 octane rating (R + M)/2 ordnary pump gas available anywhere in the USA. Regular non-ethanol works the best but usually way more expensive.

We have used both in our Kymcos since 2004 with excellent results and no drawbacks. Models include Agility 50, Yager 200i, People GTi300, Downtown 300i and UXV 500i.

I own two GV 250's and they run fine on 87 (regular) here in California. At over six bucks a gallon I would hope so...

Figuring that these things are made to run on fuel sold in third world countries at roadside stands in Coke bottles ....they'll probably run on everything sold in the USA.
Me? I use only fuels labeled Top Tier at the pump....and most often Shell Nitro 93.

I can get non ethanol but I have a gas station literally .01 miles away so I've been running 92. Figured I'd ask everyone here and get some options. My neighbor as a 50cc and says I'd better be running the non ethanol. So I just wanted to see what everyone else is doing and thinks is best. For my GV 250

I live in Iowa, home of ethanol...and I avoid it like the plague in all my carbureted machines. Some say it's fine and causes no problems..I just try to avoid it when I can.  Fuel injected vehicles?..they seem to run fine on anything.

All my local gas stations pumps have shared hoses...meaning 1 hose for all grades...and we know 99% of people choose the cheapest gas (which here contains ethanol)..so I'm sure when I gas up at the pump even with the zero ethanol fuel, I'm likely getting some in the hose from the last guy. The only way to avoid that is to take a 5 gallon can in your car..fill a few gallons of non ethanol into your car gas tank, then fill your portable 5 gallon container. That way you know you have non ethanol (assuming the station doesn't have 1 tank umderground filled with ethanol and all 3 grades of gas are really coming from that one tank!  8) )
