lady having too much fun in Springfield
« on: September 14, 2024, 03:58:53 PM »

Sitting downtown with my daughter getting coffee after she pulled a 12 in the hosp last night.
This gal pulled up at the light.....

"Hey! Love your Burgman!"

She looked like she was having a blast on her Burgman 200.
She laughed, and said when she turned 50 she decided to get a motorcycle ...."This is my motorcycle!"
She was buzzing around downtown - and seemed very secure in her abilities!

Stig in Springfield, Ohio

OK, I’ll be the wet blanket.

I wince when I see no protective gear like this. Maybe only tooling around town at low speeds, but even so, gravel rash hurts like crazy!

I guess those pictures didn't show until I selected to quote this post. Looks like she has plenty of ablative material, too bad it's all just part of her body. I know all about road rash from when I was in HS and young and foolish riding my bicycle. Low sided that bike slightly under the side of a car that suddenly decided to take a right turn with no warning right in front of me. The scar on the side of my leg is finally almost gone now, 53 years later.

Thanks Hawk,
Yeah, as a former Burgman owner I couldn't resist speaking to her 🙂
We shared a 30 second moment at her light - so, rather than discussing ATGATT with her, I told her to "be careful out there."
She nodded and motored away.
Did I comment about her attire afterwards?
....ask my daughter!🙃

I know we’ve all done it, ride without ATGATT that is, but with age ought to come experience- sometimes earned the hard way! I still carry a 56 year old scar from my BSA Bantam riding days.

Still nice to see a pretty scooter with a woman in control.
Regards & ride safe,
Neil
