Part stolen.
« on: February 14, 2014, 03:31:01 AM »
The DT isn't a common bike here in Malaysia, but already some low life has stolen the small exhaust shield off my scooter.

Pointless as it's not going to fit some moped but it's gone anyways.

Even the Brembo's from superbikes get stolen and find themselves on mopeds.

Try to not to get too upset.
I lost mine. It apparently came loose and fell off.
Have heard from other Kymco owners that their shield came loose on its own.
Probably has something to do with the exhaust expanding and contracting as it gets real hot then cools.

My shield fell off but fortunately I heard it rattle right before it came loose and was able to retrieve it. Re-intalled using loc-tight. Hopefully it will stay put.

Just checked my exhaust shield today and the four bolts were not tight. Good thing to check periodically.
