Big Bore kit
« on: February 26, 2011, 11:46:15 PM »
Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my Agility 50 with a 70cc big bore kit. Is it as simple a installing the kit or do I need to do other things also like upjet the carb, open air filter, etc? I'm hoping all I need to do is install the kit,I'm just looking to go a bit faster. Thank you for the responses  Dale

Generally speaking, any time you make a change to the engine, you are going to need to make an equal change to the carb and possibly airflow.  It could be something quite simple and require nothing extra; however I have never done a BBore kit on a 50cc.  Since you will have the engine out, upjetting would very easily done.

I did a 72cc ncy kit on my agility50. Yeah, I needed a bigger jet. Go with an open air filter to help get more air to your bigger combustion chamber.  You'll get about 5-8 mph increase with better aceleration and hold speed on hills better as well.

I have a video on the forum somewhere of it.

How did the scooter and the rest of the engine hold up to to the extra 20cc?

How long did you ride it in that configuration?

Rode fine. Had it for a month before I sold it and got an s8 150. I might have stayed with the scooter but the roads around my home are hilly and have a 45mph limit. I needed a bigger scooter to stay safely with traffic. I miss it. I liked modding it out.
