Just bought a DT300
« on: March 10, 2011, 03:40:09 PM »
I put a deposit down over the phone and will have it in less than 10 days.  Total OTD price including registration was $4963  :o.  I will have my endorsement by the time I pick the scooter up.  I got the fastest color which of course is white!  It'll be difficult stopping myself from giving every gas station I pass by on the way to work the middle finger.  Now, where do I hook up the 50 shot?  :D

Good Luck with your new scooter! May you have many miles passing and fingering the fuel stations! Keep the one you use close to your heart, we'll all need at least one we cherish. I've learned much on this Forum and now have to wait warm spring weather to put it to use. Every once and awhile I open the garage door to peak at mine and I say mine being...it's is paid for!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Dude, I thought I had gotten a great price - OTD under MSRP.  under 5k is a KILLER DEAL!  Nicely done!

Is this your 1st bike?  If so, you are going to be spoiled - The weight on the DT300 is slung so low, it makes riding tremendously easy.  The weight helps it settle right into the corners solidly too.  The performance is just so accessible.

Buying gas is hilarious now.  I'm getting 70+mpg consistently before break-in - And my commute is mostly highway!  One of the gents also pointed out that the manual says 91 octane - but that is using the RON scale.  In the US you can safely use 87.  Even better!  You'll save a ridiculous amount of money - And it is way more fun than rolling around in a cage.

I think white was indeed the fastest, until they added silver to the lineup.  HA!

Best of luck with your new scoot!

I do have that silver bullet Whisper". Just have to watch where I aim it now. I did go out for a bit yeaterday as it wasn't too bad out but today again, another story as usual, cold dreary. Gonna be nice to keep hearing about new people getting into or onto the 300! I stopped off yesterday at the dealer with the scooter and showed and explained about the non smooth idle and throttling. Am to take it in this week some time. At this point they, the sales people that looked it over weren't sure as to how this unit run's or act's. I guess they will also contact the Kymco Rep.

JUst ordered mine. down payment was made on Friday. Should see it an about 4 weeks. Probably be to much snow yet when it comes in but hoping for an early spring. Ordered the burnt orange unit and also ordered a Gigi v46 top case with the Admore led v46-t-ts light system. I ride 80-100k a day to work. be good to park the truck again for the summer.

Enjoy your new wheels "racewalker". I just picked mine up several weeks ago and couldn't put miles in due to weather here in PA. I just posted yesterday, Givi Box Installed on DT300i with photo's (click) on them. Curious, what color Box did you get for the orange DT? Further, The light kit, how does it attach to the Box? I also ordered the back rest for mine but haven't put it on as yet.

I hope they fix that vibration Syl...that would suck to get my brand new scoot with something wrong right out of the gate.

I went with flat black as none of the colours seemed to work well with the orange. I may have it painted to match later. have a look at the admore led v46-t-ts on the web.
