Hi, I am a new member and this is my first post.  Recently I purchased a new 2010 Yager 200 at my local Honda / Kymco dealer.  Got a nice price as the scoot is a leftover 2010.  As there still is snow & rain here in Chicagoland, I will take delivery in the next week or so.

The Yager will replace my 2004 Kymco Super 9, which I feel is one of the nicest (and funnest) vehicles I have ever owned.

The reason I'm replacing the Super 9 is due to the projected rise in gas prices and the need for me to access more areas around Chicago by scooter.  The top speed of the Super 9 was around 48 mph so I was a little limited as to the roads I could travel on.

The Yager still has smallish wheels (12" & 13") so it retains some of the quick handling of the Super 9 but will enable me to do some freeway travel also.  I'm also really looking forward to the high mpg that has been reported on the Yager.

I'll post again after I pickup the scooter.

Hey Wil and welcome to the site.  Having that extra power makes a huge difference on those faster streets!  I am sure that you will love your extra power when it is delivered.  I had my Super 8 150 delivered as well so I had to wait a few days after I bought it to actually get it.  That wait is a killer, just hang in there and post some pictures when it comes.  Welcome.

Thanks Fan for the encouragement.  As soon as I get a good dry day around here, I'll pickup the Yager.  I considered the Super 8 and the Honda PCX but the dealer had 3 Yagers all $500 off list.  I don't need/want anything larger as I have motorcycles for any long trips!  I am going to try to 'park' the car as much as possible.

Thanks Hex & Juice,  Super 9 is stock 2004 purchased from Scooterworks in Chicago 2005.  It's been a fabulous scooter...I have no complaints.  Many smiles & grins and midnight rides.  I have travelled all over Chicagoland on it.  Since I never modded the engine it's been ultra reliable. Great performance and relly nice brakes!  I took it in recently for a new rear tire and the mechanic commented that the scoot looked brand new.  I have about 12,000+ km on it. I am sold on Kymco.

All of my vehicles are red and in like new condition (the Guzzi is restored.)  I wish I had time to ride all of 'em more.......

Welcome to the site Wil... you have a fine selection of on-two motos.  I've been really happy with my Kymcos... not to mention the fact that I abused the living daylights out of the S200 I had.

I'm a Yager owner myself and have loved every second. I'm up to 2400 + miles after just six months (minus a month of not riding due to snow and cold). You'll find that the scooter will deliver the power you need, and easy handling. She's heavy -- 308 pounds, so be careful not to drop her if you need to walk her into a parking spot, etc ...

Personally I love the illuminated dashboard, and all the room under the seat. Get a good lock, and find out the specifics of your city's parking laws regarding scooters. I'm fighting a parking ticket in court at the end of the month.

Thanks to all for the kind welcomes.  I can't wait for all this Chicago rain sleet & snow to end.  The Yager is still at the dealer with my name on it.

Although I've ridden the Super 9 all over Chicagoland (including downtown Chicago) here in the Western 'burbs I've never had any problem with parking or getting ripped off.  I've even left the scooter at Forest Preserve entrances while I hike or run.  It's never been touched.

I'm always afraid of someone knocking over the scoot in parking lots, so I ALWAYS put down on the centerstand when anywhere in public.  I leave on the sidestand when parking in my garage.

The Yager looks like it will be a really COOL RIDE. I hope to leave the car parked for most of the summer!
