How many miles?
« on: September 29, 2010, 07:49:18 PM »
I'm just about to turn the odometer over to 6,500 miles and I was wondering how many miles others have on theirs? Mine is a 2009, bought in December 2008. How many miles can we expect from them?

These are really well built machines - my 2005 P250 has over 28,000 miles and still runs both efficiently and strong.  Like most pieces of modern machinery, if you take care of it, it will take care of you. The only real problem I had was with the Kenda tires which came on it. They were hard, slippery and developed a crack on the rear at about 6,000 miles. I replaced them with Avon Viper Venoms and the world changed! When I smoked a few sport bike riders on a twisty road in Wisconsin, it proved the point to them and made my day.

Good bikes Kymco ... change the oil, check the tire pressure at least weekly and listen to the engine and drive train at least once a week (without your helmet on). That is the early warning device.

Dion you are so right about the tires.  Makes all the difference in the world.

BTW where in the Ozarks are you?  We ride all over southern MO.

Only 2k miles on mine, but i've had it less than 3 months.

My agility 50 just ticked pass 6,000 km.

New super 8 I'm picking up has about 200... Not sure if it's miles or km... I didn't look at the units.  Woops.

It was the dealers demo... That and he rides some of the stock he keeps.  I like that. Reassures me that he knows his product.
Im usually on a bicycle, so for me, this thing is hauling ass!

Just hit the 1000 mile mark on mine and boy that saved me lots of money on gas.  Can go back and forth to work on less than a tankful every week.  Now for the cold weather coming I just installed a pair of Hot Grips I had left over from my Ruckus 250, they help to keep the hands warm, and connect direct to the battery.

Just have to remember to shut them off, but if so, that's why it has a kick start, ha ha.

I picked up my S8 150 on 24th February 2011 (three weeks ago today) and it had 1650 miles on it.
I ride about 45 miles a day to commute, plus other little errands and fun rides. Now she has 2350 miles, and I've gotten 700 smiles...

I've read a few posts from people about the tires - really that big a difference?
Any recommendations on size, brand and model?

Thanks!
