what would make to much gas come out the over flow.on a gy6 50 carb.is it that the float is sticking.

Yep, or a bit of gunk stopping the needle valve from closing properly.
ZX50, 47mm cyl. kit, TZR50 CDI. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres,
Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.

the needle under the rubber diaphragm if that sticks it that right.

I was actually refering to the needle and seat, the valve that the float operates.
