First fill up
« on: April 21, 2011, 02:14:22 PM »
Hello everyone!

Got my Yager on April Fools day and promptly ran over a piece of metal necessitating a new rear tire.

That is fixed now and I made it to my first fill up.  65 mpg not broken in yet, seems pretty good to me.

Will be due for my 200 mile service this weekend.

I really appreciate those of you on this forum for sharing your experiences and expertise.  Makes owning and maintaining this scoot a lot more fun.

Take care!

Allen

Yeah! You go, Allen! Welcome! My Yager seems to be topping out at 75mpg on winter gas and 85 on summer gas. Yours should get better with the miles. Now, go ride!

wow how strange....I too got my new 2010 Yager on April fools day. My first fill up was 54 MPG, but I didn't really look to see how much fuel was in it, so my next fill up will tell more. I put a Shad 37 on mine.

Welcome and good luck to you Allen.  I picked up my Yager 200 here in Chicago in March.  Due to bad weather have only been  able to put about 180 miles on it.  Once I go through a couple of tanks of gas I'll report in on the fuel mileage.

Finally did my first fill up with true miles noted start to finish.  78.1 mpg.  Pretty impressive for a new tight engine.  I've been pretty gentle during the breakin but have also varied the engine (and scoot) speed alot taking it up to 55-60 mph at times.  Will report back on the mileage after a few more fillups.  I'll be very happy with any consistent mileage at 75-80 mpg as my Super 9 only gets 50-60 mpg!
