50cc scoots are a hoot!  Not only is it cheaper than the bus, it is 100000000x more fun!

The big Japanese manufacturers don't seem to be as concerned with styling for the Sub-Maxi scoots.  Kymco makes some dead sexah fiddys!

Let us know how you make out on that!

You might want to read this post since you spoke about a 'hill' that you need to get up to get home. A two stroke might suit you better. Depends on your needs. Good luck finding the right scoot. They are a blast no matter what cc you end up with. :D

I weigh less than you I am sure (140 pounds) but either way, I would check out a 2 stroke. When you get in the power range you might get up that hill at 35. My super 9 can almost keep up with my agility 125 on some of the hills. But I haven't derestricted it fully yet so there are a few more mph in her. Strongly recommend you check one out. The difference is vast and the cost of the bikes is usually the same. My s9 was $1000 used with only 450 kilometers. I would buy the people 2 stroke today but have no regrets with the s9. great bike and really pulls the hills.  :D
