You're with the same decision I had to make between the Vista and the DT300i. Less room on the Vista. I thought the 16" wheel's was the way to stay but I found on here and riding a bit that there is so much more control on the 300. Another thing, the front end on the DT I believe may be somewhat more stable at higher speeds and more control with the smaller wheel's which haven't bothered me.

I can see where you might think the seating on the Downtown is tighter.  During me ride of about 30 minutes, I noticed the seating position is different than the other scooters but in the end, I didn't notice it much after the initial feeling.  I am 5 10 and round in the middle.  The first time I put my feet up to ride, I noticed a difference but not anytime after that.

I think they kept you feet closer to you in an effort to make the bike more nimble and to get the seat lower, and keep good lean angles, the foot rests had to be shorter and maybe a touch higher off the ground. They also seem to position your feet and little lower in the front but that may be my fuzzy memory.

oooo! went and looked at the link for the Grand Dink 300i!

I like it! But I'm guessing it'll be 3 years before it's in the U.S.

I think its a 250 for me for now.

Just another name for Grand Vista.
Like "Dink" = "Bet and Win", "Nikita" = "Downtown", ...

What is a Grand Dink 300i????

The non-USA version name of the Grand Vista because who in the US or Canada would ride something named after a male appendage? ... or any 0f the other bad associated connotations with DINK. Could you really say "I just love riding my Grand Pen*s".

We don't have the Kuga in the states (no surprise). Chevrolet had a similar problem when it came out with the Nova -- in Spanish, "no go."  :)

Taco Bell used to have a menu item called the "chilito." Until it became known that it was Mexican slang for "tiny penis."

I'm sure some question why this area near here (where I Live) is called DT (Ducktown)! Year's ago when communities were being settled by various ethnic group's, this area was settled in with Polish and Slovak people and their big thing was raising duck's!....hence...Ducktown which remained all through the year's. Just think if the Kymco Downtown was back than..it would be like Downtown Ducktown! Just fun with word's here..and I know it is too early for some!!
