What will hapened if i put diferent rollers
« on: April 24, 2011, 07:31:21 PM »
im using malossi multivar and i have some problems finding 20x17 12g dr pulleys...

but i have found 21x17 12g dr pulleys on sip scootershop...

think this could be only 20.9x17 and difference is only .9mm, can i try them without scary toughts...?

my belt high point is 5mm bellow (lighter weights) and think this is limit for this size...

Imho you should take the correct size for best performance and reliability.
It may work somehow with another size, but we don't know your specific Malossi Multivar and scooter!?
We can't seriously advise you to take the risk.

about info..

variator is Malossi 5111545 (http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/Products/M5111545/Variator+MALOSSI+Multivar+.aspx)

and rollers

http://www.sip-scootershop.com/Products/SR211712/Variator+Rollers+SERIE+PRO+.aspx

think that size change could effect starting at lower rpms and high speed...
