Stator or rectifier
« on: April 23, 2011, 06:14:06 PM »
Okay so My battery dies after a day of use. Already replaced the battery today, but after one day of use, It won't start.

I have been carrying a battery jumper in my kymco for the last 6 months becuase of these issues.

So my question is how do i test this or how will the dealer test this. I am still under warranty.

Your dealer should have the service manual which gives very detailed and complicated (to me) instructions on how to test and check everything.  If I had weeks and weeks to ponder and learn maybe I could solve a problem like that -- then again, maybe not!

Have you installed any after market electronic gadgets?  Have you installed a higher wattage than stock headlight?  I hear those will kill a stator, not to mention burn wires.

You can hope it's just a short circuit somewhere that's draining the battery.  If so, dealer should be able to track it down and fix it.
