Please look at my last question on the head light bulbs from my previous post. I don't know if the H7 will work in my X500? Also, anyone else know of a better quality (as in more powerfull) bulb that will fit a stock X500 that will work, not over power the electrical system, and work or fit in the stock housing without melting it. Thanks in advance.

The H7 is a single element bulb where the H4 is a double element that has both high and low beam and are not interchangeable.  I guess the jest is that a new bulb is going to be brighter than one that is several years old and has some time on it.  The more expensive bright white bulbs give a little more light but 30% more than a new standard bulb.  If you want a lot of light without increasing the wattage look at the HID stuff.  It's expensive but does put out a lot of light.  Now does anyone make a setup for the X500 I don't know.  Here is a link to a company that sells the duel beam setup for a motorcycle.  http://shop.hidcountry.com/Motorcycle-HID-Kits-s/198.htm  I have friends I ride with that use these on their BMW bikes and the light output is pretty impressive.
