If its a suitable cdi but its just the plugs dont fit then you can cut the wires if you have to, i would rather not. I had a peugeot speed fight and had to replace the cdi on it, the peugeot one was 0ver £100 but i got a unrestricted one off ebay from china for £8! The plugs didnt match but i was able to find a site where it gave me what each of the was on the new one and someone on the Peugeot forum gave me a list of what my pins where on my scoot. I just cut the wires off the scoot plug, 1 at a time, and marked what it was , crimped small push on crimps onto each end and plugged them in to the new cdi in the correct place. it worked a treat, still runs now. Once i was sure it worked i sealed up the new cdi connections where my crimps pushed on with some silicone sealer and left to dry out a few days.
You need to be sure it is compatable tho 1st before you go cutting up your harness.
