You could buy used from a dealers and get a warranty maybe, prob only be 3-6mth tho.

You may lose more on a new bike when you come to sell it, depends on the milage you put on it etc.

Also bear in mind if you buy new then derestrict it then it may affect your warranty, so ask 1st if you do buy new.

If I could have afforded it I would have got a brand new scoot but im using mine daily for work so get the use from it, making it worth while.

If you want hassle free with no worries, and can afford it, then I would buy new. If your on a budget or want to upgrade it, derestrict it etc then buy 2nd hand.

I knew zero about scooters before I got mine in Jan, since then I did a full derstrict, change my on oils and service, fitted a race variator and doing my clutch when it arrives in the post. Its all pretty easy once you get into it.

You will pick up loads of help off this forum, it good for advice and any problems you ever get.

Take you will be buying new or nearly new, 1-3yr old? Remember you dont need any mot until its 3 yrs old so if its only a yr or so old 2nd hand you dont need to worry about that. If you do buy 2nd hand the best thing you can have in my opinion, is a decent service history from the dealer it was bought from. If the oil hasnt been changed regularly, and on time,  you may get bother later.

the lad whos selling it did servicing himself, he does mechanics at college. he said he did change oil etc. i seen it today it is imaculate. one smash on the footpan where he dropped it pushing it. you can tell he wasnt riding because it wasnt scratched down the side. it was really nice but i think the price is steep considering for an extra 300 i can get new with warenty etc ill offer £650 see what he says

If your happy with paying that then make the offer and see what he says, good luck, let us know if you buy it.

If the floor is cracked you can prob glue it if it right thro, or buy a 2nd hand spare off ebay if you cant live with it like it is. As long as it rides good and is motd etc then thats the main thing. Remember if its restricted you will only get about 31mph on the clock at most, prob actual 26-27mph since the clocks are generous. I lived with mine like that for about 3-5wks then got bored being overtaken all the time so did some tweaks and derestricted it. Derestricted and tweaked you should easily get 48-52mph without too much expense if you do it yourself.

If you get one and do derestrict it just be careful cos the police will confiscate your scooter if your caught going over 30mph since then they kno its derestricted. I usually have one eye on my mirror when I ride, lol.

I can see the bit thats broke off, pity he didnt have it or u could have glued it back in pretty easy I think.

It would prob niggle at me but if you can live with it go for it. I would offer the cash you said and point out its only 300 more for new as well as the damage, see what he says. If he wont take the offer or give you a price your happy with just walk away, theres plenty more about.

Looks a pretty clean and tidy scoot apart from the bit of damage tho.
