Tire pressures in psi
« on: July 13, 2011, 11:59:59 PM »
When I do the conversion (via google) of Kymco's tire pressure recommendations (found on the sticker 'neath the spedometer) I come out with 21.3 psi for the front and 23.9 psi for the rear.  Does this sound right?

Only reason I ask is because the front was 40psi and the rear was 35psi.

For what it's worth, I also discovered my odometer over-reports by 0.1 mile and my spedometer checked out at 3mph slow (27mph scooter) at 30mph actual and 3mph slow (37mph scooter) at 40mph actual.

Your conversion numbers sound a little low to me , but you should experiment to find what is most comfortable for you . I run 32psi in my people 50 .

yup, play around with what works for your riding style and weight. I usually run a little over 20 psi front and a little under 30 psi back. Also keep an eye on how your tire's wear, that will give you more info to work with.

When I did the conversion to PSI I came out with 29 PSI front and 32 - 36 PSI rear depending on solo rider or passenger.  This has worked fine for me.  The dealer had it at around 35 front and 40 rear.  It rides much better at 29 & 33 PSI.
