Always complaining
« on: June 21, 2011, 03:39:41 PM »
Hi,  I've posted a lot lately about the speed of my derestricted Ag50 (struggling to get 35 mph). I live on a hill and go back and forth to work @ 2 mi.(hills are only 15mph). Yesterday I decided to take a long ride and to my surprise I looked down and was doing 42-43mph! Today I went for another long ride to a nearby town and was frequently doing 43mph. Could this thing just have needed opened up a little to reach that speed? I'm extremely happy with this now,all I really wanted to do was 40mph( although I just ordered a race variator from ebay) Just wanted to share good news since I've been bitching a lot lately. I'm hoping the variator helps a bit but if it does'nt I'm still going to enjoy the #^%! out of this thing.  Happy riding everyone and I hope you guys enjoy riding as much as I do now without worrying about breaking any land speed records.  Dale

Hills and wind are the natural enemy to these little scoots. It is good to hear that you are happy with it. When you put your new variator on you will be able to see if you are getting full belt travel, if not, then that is one area you can experiment in and get some small gains.

that's very true i have a big bore and countless other upgrades and i still catch myself trying to turn my throttle with all my force when the wind picks up or i hit a nice hill though it does conquer the forces of nature much less painfully than it used to but i'm glad to hear your getting more smiles per gallon  ;D
'08 Agility 50, 72cc BBK, Naraku HS High Speed Variator, some clutch tweaking, UNI filter with homemade cold air setup, Leo Vince Handmade Titan exhaust, lots of random upgrades i'll never be able to remember.. the look on people's faces when i put a knee down through a curve makes it all worthwhile
