One month ago I bought a Xciting 500, 2006.
I noticed that the rear view via the mirrors were terrible. As written “I could only see my handsâ€. Except the mirrors I think it is a great bike.
I have made wedges (hard wood like oak or aluminium) which I have put between the chassis and the mirror arms foothold, which are easy to dismount. Go to page 45 in
Xciting 500 Service Manual ENGThis lowers the mirrors downwards and the rear view passes under the handles.
In addition to this I had to skew drill the two holes (be careful, skew in rigt direction) in the mirror arms foothold and replace one of the two 8 mm screws to longer ones on both sides of the MC.
