Exhaust Gasket
« on: July 09, 2011, 10:18:11 PM »
Is there any advantage/disadvantage to using my stock exhaust gasket with my aftermarket exhaust? The one that came with the exhaust has been taken off a put back on a couple times and is a little deformed, could I still use it or are these supposed to be one time use things?

It's one of those aluminum or steel (I'm not sure) ones.

I think they are generally a single use item, though you can reuse them as long as they seal.

Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.

Put a little motor exhaust sealer on the surfaces when you refit them. As long as its not leaking it should be fine.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

What about using the stock ceramic or plastic (not sure) with my performance steel exhaust?
