Brake lever adjustment?
« on: November 15, 2011, 12:33:27 AM »
Hi, just bought a 250S a few weeks ago and really don't like the angle of the brake levers.  I would like to angle them a bit more down.  Does anyone know if this can be done?  Also is there some tricks to getting the plastic covers off from around the handlebars?  I took out all the screws and the windscreen, mirrors, but it doesn't want to move?  I downloaded the manual, but that is a bit of a joke as far as any detailed directions go.

Hmmn, not quite the wealth of information on this subject as I had hoped for?

Does this mean nobody has taken off the plastic covers to adjust their brake lever angle?

Or is it that no-one can figure out how to take off the plastic covers??

Pretty sure my Yager levers are not adjustable.

I believe they are pinned so the location is fixed.

You will have to file away the key on the bottom clamp to be able to rotate the brake levers. Not hard to do with a dremel tool, but keep in mind the mirrors are installed on the brake lever housing.
