I just got my first Kymco Agility 50cc 4stroke day before yesterday. It is a 2008. It did not run at all when scooter was strait up. The guy I got it from said a shop that works on Kymco, said if they sat for a long time, you have to lay them over on the left side to get them to start. So we did that and low and behold...it started!! But when we stood it upright, it died. I got it home and checked the auto shutoff, it was ok. I then checked the spark plug after some other stuff and the plug screwed out with my fingers, and the gap was about .028 (thousandths-standard) I cleaned plug and reset to .020 and reinstalled plug. The scooter started. I don't know what the proper gap is, or the number of plug it takes. It ran sluggish up the road, so I changed the oil, the oil was BLACK and old where it had probably not been changed when it was rode last, and had been sitting up. I put in Pennzoil 15W-30, cause I didnt know what was supposed to be in it. I figured run that to rinse out the crankcase, then put what it supposed to be in it. So I have alot of questions that a service manual could answer. I am the type of guy that likes equipment set up like the factory would have done it. I like to know what it runs like when it is set up correctly. Seems to be a decent scooter, hope I can get it right. Thank in advance for all the help!
