How does this work? (Motor Mount)

 I was taking the scoot apart today for a general clean up and saw this;


This is the motor mount but it has some movement built in. I wonder what it does?

  The motor is in front of the pivot point so would tend to go forward and up. But it allows
for it to go backward and down. You can tighten it in the forward , middle or backward direction
and it might favor that position. We could wedge a piece of rubber in the front side or back side
to tune it.

 The manual doesn't say much about it except it is a motor mount....

I believe that the lower pivot allows the engine to swing when the suspension actuates. The upper mount appears to have pivot between two bumpers that act on the left side of the frame. Maybe it's a damper function to keep the engine from jolting the frame as engine load changes occur.
