If its a later model then it may not have the same cdi. My 2008 could be cut, heard on another thread the 2010+ models cannot be cut.

as far as the air filter you can put a washable one in place of the one thats in there . wht I did was cut the old one out and just forced a spunge typ filter in to the oil wear the cardbord filter was works great.and its washable too.

Yep 2010+ models come with unrestricted CDi so no need to cut.

Oh so it's normal to have oil in it? Now I cleaned it out and I have gas in it now???

Thanks for the Cdi vid

No its not normal to have oil in the airbox. I had this problem a few months ago and it was down to having slightly too much oil in the engine. It has been fine since i took some out. The small clear hose under the airbox had oil in it too.

Yes, it's normal and vital to have oil in air box. When engine is near to overheating, oil is starting to evaporate and in form of mist is going through cranksace breather to air box where it's being mixed with air and sucked into the engine where it cools down the piston and cylinder. I was reading 'bout it and noticed on cold weather my oil level is where I left it and on hot days and stop and go city driving up to 2-3 mm down on 50 km ride.

Oh well, if woodcutter is correct then i stand corrected.   :-X

Mine has been fine and has no oil now my engine level is at the correct level. When i had it slightly too high then the excess was coming thro the breather i think into the filter. Now it doesnt.

it's reason I don't like free flow air filters. kymco engineers did a good job.
and yes, it's also oil overfill prevention
our kymco's are preventing our mistakes  ;D

once I put some duct tape over re-circulation hole and left clear tube opened and guess what?
my engine was overheating and cutting itself  ;D
