you shoulden have to go no farther then about les then 1/4 inch deep. if you cut slow enough you can see the bare wire when you cut in to it.after all the way threw then stop.

09 Agilitys do have the CDI restriction. Cut through the same side opposite end of the female part on the CDI. Mine was about and 1/4-1/2 inch down. You'll know when you get to it there's nothing else there, but still take your time.

2010+ dont have limilters. I used a flat file and filed a wedge off the end instead of cutting it. I tried cutting but couldnt find it so thats why i filed it. Wordslinger posted a pic of one that was filed, i did mine the same as that one.

When i did it i thought i was never going to find the wire but i eventually found it. its pretty thin. Was much easier to see filing rather than cutting as you can see it by filing where cutting is pot luck.

My wire was at the bottom right of the cdi if yoy look at it with the connectors at the top.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

I just cut mine the other day. You cant really see it but cut 1/4 of an inch in they plug it in. I noticed the difference right away. If there is no difference cut a little further.

Cut opposite end same side where connector is in the middle.

If you can post up a pic of your cdi. Jezyg is pretty new on here and he has a UK spec 2011 agility without the restriction. He can maybe tell you if its the same as his. Or i have a 2008 so i can tell you if its like mine.

Can you not tell the year from the chassis/vin number or owners documents?

Might beable to tell if its the newer model by where your front indicators are positioned on the newer 2010 model there on the front fairing either side of the headlamp on older models they were attached higher up on the handlebars hope this helps.....

That I can  ;D

Does need to be MY10 onwards to have the de-restricted CDi as standard which as Kisbee said is when the indicators moved from underneath the handlebars to the front fairing.
