Trying to find out
« on: November 16, 2011, 07:06:32 PM »
What model this is on craigslist?  Owner claims it is a 150cc 2002. It has a red and white seat. Most of the body peices are red. Has what look like side by side projector beam head lights. If you want to take a look craigslist in Jacksonville Fl.. It is listed as a 150cc moped. It is great price $120.00 and might be fun to tinker on over the winter if parts are still available.

The owner states it does run but poorly. Sounds like the carb just needs to be cleaned. It is a Kymco because there is a picture of the instraments and it read KYMCO at the top. It also has a tach along with the speedo and gas gauge. Any clues on what it maybe?

You know you could post a listing of the scooter.

I checked the Jacksonville craigslist for a 150 moped and none showed up.

OK finally got it to show up..

Spoke with the owners brother and he claims to have proof it's not hot. So what about it guys what is it?  I think it's only a 50cc not a 150cc.

The only 150s I remember are the People, the Super 8 and the Bet & Win. That scooter is not one of them. Looks like a 50 to me.

A 150 would have two rear shocks.

You are right about the two shocks on a 150. I see the Kymco on the gauge panel but the body looks more Chinese than any 50cc Kymco sold in the US. But I don't remember all of them.

Yea, I saw that runner on the side also. I suspect it isn't a 150cc either. If it was I would be more inclined to purchase it. I do like to go fast. On the other hand if it is a two-stroke 50cc it would be easy and cheap to modify to a 70cc and have a cheap, fun little scoot for the neiborhood. Anymore help would be great. I guess I'm just going to go and check it out for myself. Only thing holding me back is the distance, about 75 miles from home. I hate to spend the money on gas for my cage and a trailer.    Help !!!!    I need more help please.
