''''hiya got my CBT tomorrow and really nervous about it! ive had a go a couple of times on my scooter, im alright on it lol but i pretty scared im going to fail it! any tips on how not to fail it lol ''''

"I'd also like to know what state if US."

I still can't figure out where this guy lives. But in Indiana you take a road test with many other prospective license seekers and invariably you are the only one who doesn't show up on a 950 pound Harley. They all snickered when I ride up on a 220 pound Agility 125, as if they felt sorry for me. But when the test started they were soon wishing they had one. It is basically a parking lot test and the Agility is aptly named. Five or six different sections that we would complete one after another, figure 8's, pylons, simulated left turns with acceleration, etc. One guy flunked halfway through and two of the guys were very close to failing. One bike had at least 18 inch wheels and a very long wheelbase. Most of these bikes were huge and none of them got through without one major mistake except myself. I even had to complete a U turn in a smaller diameter than the other bikes because the engine was under 500cc. I had no problem with it although I was thinking to myself that the road doesn't have different requirements for different bikes.

My only advice with taking a test on a scooter is to hold the left hand brake while making slow turns so you don't have to worry about the clutch catching or not. And be prepared for someone asking to rent your bike when they fail. I decided to not rent it to any of them except the one who was laughing for all the right reasons. He knew better. We traded bikes after the test and I got to ride a sportster while he rode the agility. Nice guy.

Congrats to tomb2112. I hope that stands for 'Tom B' and not 'tomb'.  :P
