Well, I don't know whoo makes the best one, but some people think it is best to buy the big name brands. I guess that way you can't go wrong. Like they say when you buy cheap stuff, "you get what you pay for", I think that holds true with the brand name stuff as well, if you want the name, you will pay for it. I have tried to cylinder kits on the ZX, a 50mm and a 47mm, the 47mm came from scrappy dog scooters and was far better than the 50mm one from taiwan.
I think in the end it will be a matter of trying one and see how you go with it. Zombie used to swear by Malossi, but after doing in pistons, he changed to one that I think came from Taiwan,it looked identical to the 50mm kit I had first off.
Still, wait for thebatman, Shaka or zombie to reply, they will give you a better idea. BUT, ask zx50boy,
he is getting 80-85mph from his zx , he will set you straight.

SID, I just can not go for that.. 80-85 MPH???   CAN NOT BE DONE!!
I, to, am a fan of the malossi stuff. That kit was great but then my crank broke and just totally fkd it up..
The kit i have now is the same kit that zombie has now. The reviews from him are great(we both have the 44 crank now as well tho.) The intakes are whats pissing me off lately...
STILL HAVENT GOT PAST A L:EAK DOWN TEST.(hopefully tonight)
The ports on the malossi were real good, needing chamfering tho for sure
As SID mentioned about "cheap" kits, he had a hella time with a "knock-off kit".
Also, it will depend on HOW you do your build... port work, port timings will make a difference. I definately found out the hard way, IT'S NOT "PLUG & PLAY"....

There is alot of stuff out there for the zx.... The "DIO" stuff interchanges.. Just amke sure it's for the correct af engine.(we use the AF18), The AF35? is a bit different on the stud patterns

Hey SID, I was glad to see you still checking in around here...
Yeah, good point. That could have explained alot of those issues..
OF COURSE, i have been having issues with getting a seal at the intake for WEEKS now.(being broke does not help AT ALL). Now i have went and cracked the intake, SOOOOOO my engine is starting to collect dust over here sitting on the counter..lol Going to try one more "honkey hook-up" and PRAY it works...

I like the Malossi kit also, however, I have used the Naraku 75cc kit a couple times now, and I really like it as well. 

Deciding on a cylinder kit really is more about deciding what you want out of the scooter.  For a reliable street machine, one of the more common name-brand top ends would be best.  I'm not saying that the other ones are not reliable, but for something that you have to rely upon on a daily basis, I'd keep it simple.
