now what ?
« on: January 28, 2012, 11:53:18 PM »
here i am on my new people 300. 320 miles , on way home at stop light ,i smell belt burning and scot wants to go. idle is too high and then up pops the dreaded orange engine trouble light. taking scot to dealer on monday (jan 29) for repairs. i have on order givi windshield from givi usa at 1-877-679-4484. price is blade # 443A - $ 105 , mountung kit # A443A - $ 80 . total is $ 185 with free shipping . they are waiting for mounting kit 2 - 3 weeks . i hope dealer has scot fixed by the time windshield arrives, too cold without it.

so far - ha,ha scot is great . ride is better than my vespa gts 300. no break-in mileage in owners manual. i'm keeping speeds between 40-60 until 600 miles. gas mileage 72- 68- 65 on 1st 3 tanks. not to worry it will get better , my vespa gets 75-80 all the time, of course it has 4000 miles.

i started a long blog comparing vespa to people ,but i dont type and somewhere along the line i lost it all,man was i pissed and i couldnt find it .

i'm at a loss why built - turn signals are disabled . they do work on my yeager.kymco usa says it has to do with DOT

i spent 1 hour taking off front plastic . the bulb holders are there, the wiring is there , so i installed the bulbs #7507 ,     but nothing worked. next i have to remove plastic around handlebars to further check the wiring to add-on- turn signals stay tuned my two fingers are tried .

How is the comfort?
Do you notice a difference with the 15" wheels?

You have to unplug the blinker stalks, and plug the cowl lights into those leads. The DOT has a minimum distance between the lights rule...
